The National Coalition to Prevent Child Sexual Exploitation

The Prevention Coalition was initiated and is supported in part by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and the work of all its members. Members contribute critical information to the Prevention Coalition from their expertise or agencies but also to carry information from the Prevention Coalition back into their organizations and constituents. The intent is to have organizational impact and to use the vast network of the member organizations to advance prevention efforts.

The common thread within this Coalition of all the members is the opportunity to apply the various perspectives and types of expertise to focus on prevention of sexual exploitation of children. The mission of the Coalition is: a unified effort to promote the healthy development of children & youth; and end their sexual exploitation.

COMING SOON—The National Plan to Prevent Child Sexual Exploitation

The purpose of this plan is to prevent children from being perceived and used as sexual commodities and to ensure that they have the opportunities to develop into healthy adults capable of caring connections and healthy relationships with childhoods free from sexual exploitation. The plan addresses the need to reduce the societal demand for commercial and individual exploitation of children.

The plan is to keep child sexual exploitation prevention in the forefront of peoples minds and hearts in such a powerful way that the normalization of  such exploitation for individual or commercial gain becomes socially, economically, politically, and spiritually unacceptable in our nation and the world.
